Dr. Clark always wanted to work with animals; starting from age 11 she read voluminously about them. At age 12 she was told she could have a horse if she saved enough money. At age 14 she bought Lori and a saddle for $175 and she rode horses for many years. While in veterinary school at Auburn University, she realized that she liked working with small animals clinically, not horses. Fifty years later, she’s still at it. Back in the early 1980’s, Dr. Clark had the opportunity to perform spays/neuters part time in Charlotte, NC which led to her practicing for 18 years at her own small animal practice. In the early 1990’s, she moved to the west coast and began doing surgery part time and consulting in natural medicine. She then moved to the US Virgin Islands and practiced veterinary and naturopathic medicine for several years.
Dr Clark attend the University of Kentucky and obtained a BS in animal science, Auburn University and obtained her DVM degree, and the National College of Naturopathic Medicine where she obtained her ND degree.
Dr. Clark likes surgery, especially in cats.
